George Rogers Clark Historical Park -- Vincennes, Indiana (Founded 1732)

7-31-17

Dear Lord,
Happy Feast of St. Ignatius Loyola day.
A couple of lines from Give Us This Day:
"It seems clear what the Kingdom of God is about. It is about peace, justice, human dignity, equality, charity, liberty, and respect.
Indeed, the Kingdom of God is in us, it is in you, it is in me, IT IS IN ALL OF US. Let's shine our light and share it with the rest of the world.
peace,
Grandpazach

Take That Next Step

7-29-17

2733

Good Morning,
We all have a story to share about how the Good Lord has blessed us. I like to look at my Faith as a fire --- starting out as a small flicker and at times turning into quite a blaze. . Try putting a couple of logs in your fireplace, so someone you meet today receives that little "Flicker" of Faith to keep going on his journey.
Lord, help all of us take that next step.
Peace,
Grandpazach

Old Cathedral -- Vincennes, Indiana

7-28-17

2734

Good Morning,
Here's a simple question we can all ask ourselves: How much of God's Word have you heard over the years at home, in church and school, and through reading and teaching? Follow that with--- How much of God's Word do you know and live?
xxxx
The Word Among Us puts it this way: "Lord, help me to understand your word, not just with my head, but with my heart. And help me put it into practice."
xxx
I will be resting in your loving presence as I'm out in the yard with the birds and flowers of the season.
Peace,
Grandpazach

Old St. Mary's -- Cincinnati, Ohio

7=27-17

2735

Good Morning,
Some thoughts I reflected on early today as I read a passage from The Word Among Us:
If you wish to hear the loving, peaceful, patient, gentle, kind, voice of Our Lord and Savior--- try to picture yourself in a scene from the Bible.
You might say-- "Father, speak to me today. Help me to quiet the clamoring of my own thoughts so that I can hear your voice."
Peace,
Grandpazach

This past Sunday I was blessed to attend a old fashioned Latin Mass at Old St. Mary's in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.  Brought back a lot of memories since I was an Altar Boy for five years pre Vatican II.

Sunset over Lake Michigan

7-26-17

2736
Good Morning,
A couple of lines from Living Faith:
At times we all grumble about one thing or another, but the question becomes: "What are we doing about the things we're grumbling about?  Lord, please TRANSFORM MY GRUMBLING INTO POSITIVE DEEDS FOR A BETTER WORLD."
xxxx
And from Sacred Space; "I pray for the strength to continue speaking and acting  ---- even in the absence of evident encouraging results."
Peace,
Grandpazach

Take My Yoke

                                                                                                                                  7-20-17
2740

Good Morning,
Take my yoke upon you.
(Matthew 11:29)
From The Word Among Us:
"Being yoked to Jesus means putting ourselves under his direction: he sets the course, and we follow. And as we, we find him walking beside us at every step. He helps us to hold our tongues or choose encouraging words. He moves us to be more charitable toward the people around us. He gives us the peace we need to endure trying situations. When we are yoked to Jesus, he helps us bear every burden.
TODAY CONSIDER JESUS' INVITATION TO ACCEPT HIS YOKE!
Peace,
Grandpazach

More detail on a later post, suffice it say I'm into one of my organizing moods and I went so far as buying two new books on the "Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up." by Yuko Uramoto.
I'm starting with books, sorting out the ones I really want to keep and donating the rest to people that will enjoy them as much as myself. (hopefully)    It really is a labor of love.
